Let’s be honest. In the 21st century, gender equality remains a constant struggle. That’s why communities like Yuriyana Club, created to empower women, are more crucial than ever. Whether virtual or in-person, these communities offer an important space for support and solidarity and, at the same time, play a fundamental role in advancing issues that are critical for women to flourish in all areas of life.

In a system that forces us to continually compete against each other, building collaborative communities among women not only has a positive impact on women but also on society as a whole. Historically, the responsibility of bringing the world into the world and raising the next generations has fallen largely on women. Consequently, we have the opportunity to lead by example. Change, then, begins with us.

Within this context, having a network of people who share and understand our unique challenges and diverse forms of discrimination is essential to overcoming obstacles, achieving success, and assuming our role as leaders within our environment and society. Yuriyana Club and this blog, Eva’s Pen, were born from the need to provide a safe space where women can share their experiences, advice, and resources, thus creating a sense of solidarity and empowerment.

The goal is to offer women learning opportunities and tools for personal and professional growth. Whether through workshops, conferences, masterclasses, modular courses, mentoring, or simply informal interactions, our community aims to provide a conducive environment for knowledge sharing and skill development. There is a space for everything: laughing, crying, dreaming, and reflecting.

Much remains to be done to address gender inequality in various areas of society. From the wage gap and the overload of responsibilities at work and home, to the lack of representation in political and professional leadership positions, women still face significant barriers that hinder their advancement and development. Added to this are additional challenges such as gender-based violence and economic dependency, and discrimination rooted in identity, race, sexual orientation, and social class.

In the face of these challenges, women’s communities are a beacon of hope. The best way to confront those challenges that seem insurmountable is to identify them, break them down, and apply what women do best: analysis and constructive action. We want Eva’s Pen to be a space for opening dialogue not only for the well-being and empowerment of individual women, but for society as a whole.

Let us flourish together!
