About Us
created in 2023
Yuriyana Club is a community created by women for women. Our mission is to empower women professionally and personally with tools that promote a full and healthy life—intellectually, physically, emotionally, and sexually. On the one hand, this initiative stems from the silence that often surrounds many of the issues at the heart of the experience of being a woman. On the other, it responds to our own need for a safe space to share hopes, doubts, fears, and desires, and explore topics that nourish and expand our life experiences. In this sense, far from magic solutions, Yuriyana Club offers knowledge, activities, and enriching connections that promote both individual and group flourishing. Within this context, we uphold respect, diversity, and tolerance as fundamental principles of our activities to achieve a community where we all feel appreciated, heard, and seen.
Why the name Yuriyana?
Yuriyana or Yuri Yana is a name of Aymara origin that means dawn or aurora. The name Yuriyana Club is a recognition of our Peruvian and Andean origins and, at the same time, refers to the natural role of women as central, influential, and active individuals within their families, their communities, and society at large. Welcome to our community, a community for everyone!

Co-Founder and CEO
Ursula Pfeiffer
Ursula Pfeiffer is a social theorist and award-winning writer, journalist, producer, and multicultural communicator whose interests revolve around the construction of identity and the social dynamics that lead to social hierarchization and marginalization, particularly those that impact women and the feminine. In 2021, she presented the theory of social resource distribution, which examines the mechanisms and reasons behind social marginalization and othering. As a student of semiotics and linguistics, Ursula encourages us to recognize and challenge the narratives that fragment our embodied experience, freeing ourselves from the social and cultural constructs that perpetuate conscious and unconscious biases and propel us into endless competition, fueling our feelings of isolation, mistrust, and inner emptiness. Ursula holds a BA in Journalism and Communication Studies, with a MA in Women and Identity Issues. She is also a member of the National Women’s Studies Association (USA). With over 20 years in the media industry, Ursula’s work has earned her numerous awards, including five Sports Emmys, gold, silver, and bronze medals from the New York Festivals, and an Edward R. Murrow Award for Journalism.
